Axis is our agentic extractions tool that provides a way to extract explicit and implicit insights from a set of documents. This allows you to effectively replace much of the rote data entry tasks you and your team may currently do as part of the litigation process. Each selected document is carefully reviewed by column and the results are displayed in a tabular form, ready to be analyzed and exported.

How to get started

Simply navigate over to the Axis extractions application on the side bar.

If you have previously run Axis extractions before, you can review the results in the pullout menu by hovering over the Extractions icon:

To create a new Extractions job, click the “+ New extractions” button on the bottom:

Pre-built templates

You’ll see a 4 pre-built templates:

  1. Email extractions → Finds and returns metadata fields from scanned in email documents
  2. Complaint analysis → Pulls out bibliographic data from complaints and more implicit insights
  3. Court filings → Pulls key procedural details from court filings
  4. Invoices → Pulls key financial data from invoices

The custom extraction option allows you to simply use natural language to pull out fields not provided in the templates. Fileread will generate the fields and instructions for you to review and adjust.
